Online legend Dan ‘djk123’ Kelly, who already possesses three WCOOP bracelets, finally won a SCOOP watch in Event 29 – the $109+R NL Hold’em [Big Antes]. He walked off with $73k after beating SCOOP 23-H champ ‘pistons87’ and SCOOP 1-L winner ‘Blackbeaty’ into second and third places respectively.
SCOOP 31-H featured 109 players in 8-Game action and, as expected, it featured a stellar final table. Well known Brit player Richard ‘Chufty’ Ashby came fourth, Team PokerStars Pro ‘ElkY’ fell just short in third, and Chris ‘Genius28’ Lee then pipped Alexander ‘joiso’ Kostritsyn to the title and $58,315 first prize.
The final eight events are set to take place this coming weekend with the Main Event scheduled to begin at 14.30 ET on Sunday May 20. The buy-ins are $109 (L), $1,050 (M), and $10,300 (H), with guarantees of $1m, $1.5m and $2.5m respectively.
